Andrographis paniculata is a plant common in India. It is commonly found south India.
This plant is a member of Acanthaceae plant family.
This is an eract herb or under shrub. It is stout and glabrous. It grows to a height of about 90 cms. The leaves are eliptic-lanceolate.The flowers are creamy white with light purple or pink streaks within. The flowering season isAugust to October.
Usage
In Ayurveda the leaves, seeds and the roots are used for treatment of general debility, diarrhoea, dysentry, and dispepsia.
