This is a prostrate perennial herb or undershrub. The leaves are long and broad, broadly ovate or reniform and glabrous. The flowers are dark purple, axillary solitary. The capsules are oblong-ellipsoid, glabrous and ribbed. The flowering season July – December.

Usage

In Ayurveda the leaves, seeds and the roots are used for treatment of skin diseases, ulcers, eczema.
