This is an annual slender herb, grows to a height of 50 cms. The leaves are about 16 cms. long, glaucous-green. The flowers are light purple, with white fading, in lax racemes. The capsules are glabrous and globose.The seeds are 4-6, two in each loculus, obovoid, rounded and rugose on back.
